i am in the ocean state of mind,
and deeply drink all creation’s waves
foam, froth and bubbles are not so different than water
i can never come, nor can i ever go
for i am everywhere at once
as i follow the tide
i came empty handed,
and will leave empty handed
i am the manifestation of limitless substance
and unadulterated potency
unfailing wisdom and understanding
pump throughout my fresh veins
and fill every artery with more than blood,
taking form in thought and word,
embodied deeply in my pale flesh.
i am guided, sustained
moment by moment
step by step
along the winding path
of self liberation,
determined to gain awareness
purity of mind and soul
i crave enlightenment
but knowledge is nothing without application
i will not rest
until the salt water drenches me,
and i feel it within every pore of my being
