plan of action 2012
happy new year everyone! so this year, i’m hoping to progressivly regress by making my work less machine made, and more natural. i feel as if sometimes computers block and limit my creativity, so i’m trying to get out of that path. in out industrial world that moves so quickly it becomes harder and harder slow down, and do it by yourself. my aesthetic for this year is going to be very D.I.Y, with more recycled installations, stamps and block prints, along with many hand drawn fonts. i think that as the years go by and technology evolves, it’s still very important to keep in touch with our artistic roots. i want to simplify, and thus improve the connection between design and our nature.
this winter has not been so good to me and i’ve been terribly sick for the past few months. this has really slowed down my motivation/inspiration to create lovely things, but hopefully i’ll get better soon and actually be able to draw something decent. for now i’ve just been scribbling all of my ideas down, i’m excited to be healthy enough to be able to execute them soon!
